The trust commenced the construction of the 'Thanthai Chelva Auditorium' at Jaffna Central College in 2015. With generous assistance of the Chelvanayakam Charitable Foundation in the USA and the support of the school community work has almost been completed. The Jaffna Central College a state (national) school, is one of the oldest institutions in the country having being set up by the Methodist mission in 1816.

The auditorium which will be among the largest in the north of the country, will serve the school as well as be used for public events has been erected almost entirely using human resources from the north to symbolize the resurgence of its people from 30 years of war.
